Yes, except that rather than being a pie, she instead baked a pie and mailed it to me, along with some Hallowe'en goodies. It's apple -- my favourite.

Doesn't your school have a system for that? My mailbox is small too, but there's a larger, shared box for packages and whatnot. When I get one, they leave the key to that larger box in my usual one.

The dorms at the school do--they just slip a form in your mailbox and you knock and you show it and your ID to someone at the desk and they get the package for you--but I don't live there anymore. In my apartment building (read: tenement house), to get a package, you have to walk your butt to the Post Office. And, man, that's a whole two blocks--and it's way too close to the fire house not to lead to something embarrassing happening. ;o)
